Congratulations on reaching 400,000 rank points and Welcome to the Government Team!

As a Government you now have the ability to monitor base at a level where action will be taken, this includes requesting for deductions or ideal punishments. As a Government, there will be certain expectations and responsibility you hold within our community, especially when there are no higher ranks around or active. You will be introduced to certain tasks which will help you grow and expand your knowledge when it comes to monitoring base and problem-solving.

You are to help keep base stable. More importantly, you are to keep order in base and know everything in the guides from top to bottom. Whenever someone misbehaves, you can place a request for points to be deducted to an OOA/OWN or place the request in the moderation forum as well as help to handle the situation in base.

→ Whenever solving a conflict, make sure to get both sides of the issue as to not be unbiased. Please do not attack the member at fault/the member that you are dealing with and deal with situations with professionalism.

→ If you are unsure about what action to take, check with a higher rank. As part of Government, you will have access to the behaviour reports forum. There you can post proof and details about bad behaviour. OOA & Owners can then subtract points and remove badges accordingly if necessary.

 

You can give out warnings only to those under you.

 

Expectations

• Give out a warning (with OOA+ approval). Explain what behaviour must change.

• Explain what the consequences are for not following your warning. Use subtraction of pay points or subtraction of rank points, hour/day ban if a room rights holder is available.

• Issue consequences – ask an OOA or Owner to subtract points, a room rights holder to ban, or post a request for points subtraction on the moderation forum.

• If you see a user has had consequences issued three times in the last month, request for a fire/deactivation.

Note: Deductions for points should be based on percentages. 5-25% of that user’s rank points or 20-50% of their pay points.

 

→ When an Owner/OOA is not active and you witness members within UN being AFK or idling multiple times while filling workstations, as Government, you may request for a deduction on the Moderation forum with provided evidence of the time, date and of you giving them a 5-second countdown before posting it on the Moderation forum, as well as provide a screenshot of the person claiming the reward. Please upload all of these screenshots and post them as links. You will need to provide evidence of the member being AFK or idling 3 times within a 180 minute (3 hour) period. With all evidence, the member will be deducted 3,000 - 10,000 rank points (RP) if they are Security and above or 5% rank points if they are above 150,000 rank points. However if they continue to idle even after the deduction, they'll be deducted a higher percentage of rank points and everytime it goes up in multiples of 5%.

 

→ As Government, you should know the answers to more complex questions. For instance, you should be familiar with how the website works and what protocol users must follow.

 

→ As Government, you also get the right to lead special units. How do you do this? You will get your own personalized group you will be able to manage, and assign rank points for. You may assign pay points for tasks but only if they are approved by Overseers first. If you want to lead a special unit you have to be really active and have a good idea that will benefit the agency. There is also a special unit for leaders of special units. You will have to join this special unit badge (<UN> Departments), and will also be given your own page for your special unit.

 

→ Obligations - owning your special unit/department

* You must be active and have exemplary behaviour.

* You must keep up with this special unit (<UN> Departments).

* You have to understand that if you go inactive, your special unit might be closed or given to someone else.

* Deal with your own badges, members, and protocol. You are responsible for the special unit you own! 

→ Privileges - owning your own special unit/department

* You get points through this special unit.

* You get authority within your special unit.

* You learn about leadership and you get experience.

All ideas must be forwarded to Cyndii., AbbieCandy and Adam! and approved by them only before the unit commences or any badges are made. To submit any ideas, you can use the private message feature at the top of the page. The idea must be something that will be beneficial to the growth and success of United Nations.

If you had just transferred/rejoined at 800,000 rank points, you will be given a week or two to get familiar with our rules before you join MOD.
Before you decide to join the MOD Team, you will be reviewed and discussed by the Foundation Team if you are fit to be promoted.
If you are accepted, you have 30 days to decide if you want to be MOD and if not, you will be put back to 600,000 rank points.

If you are rejected to join MOD, you will be deducted back to 600,000 rank points.

 

Disciplinary Actions:

Whenever you’re solving a conflict, make sure to get both sides of the issue. You may follow these disciplinary actions ONLY if you had the discussion with the rest of the team in #mod-support chat on Discord, especially if you have been told to by an OOA+. There must be taken proper screenshots of the situation and of you communicating the punishment to that member. Please note everything must be posted under Moderation Report forum on website.
There are a couple of steps you can choose depending on the severity of the issue. However, depending on the severity of the conflict the foundation team may deem it necessary to skip stages to ensure that UN remains a safe and friendly place for other members of our community.

Reminders and warnings may also be given by GOV and MOD members to ranks that are below them.
