The first step in to becoming a better person is to acknowledge and accept critics from other people. BUT, by just merely accepting that you have been told by others you won't make it as an OOA doesn't do you any difference either. What can you do? You can always ask them why they think of you in that way, in a nice, calm and humble manner. Ask them to cite situational examples wherein you acted inappropriately. Get their opinion on what they think should have been your actions and keep them in mind for future reference.
Maturity is vital in obtaining certain roles in a community, even if it is only a game, how you play within the game tells alot about your real life personality; and maturity doesn't happen overnight. Maturity is a process of learning, if you only commit mistakes and do not learn from them then it doesn't add anything to you as a person.
