Do you have a favorite place?
No, other than your bedroom. I'm talking about a place where you go when you're having one of those tough days, or just in a bad mood.A place where you visit alone, or with a trusted friend, and you just recuperate your mind and body.
I do. Mine’s an ice-skating rink - except not on the rink itself, but from the spectator’s seat. Its built in a mall and encircles the perimeter of the mall. I sit at the second-storey, watching the skaters as they saunter from one end to another.
Over the hour, a few tumble over or slip while others learn the technique and begin to confidently wander around the rink. It is just pure relaxation to me - the cold air, the soft giggles from the rink, the bright atmosphere that contrasts with the how the rest of the day or week had went. My mind is cleared, my body refreshed and I'm ready to finish the rest of the week.
