UN Remembrance Day
On the 11th hour, on the 11th Day of the 11th Month United Nations will pause the clock for 1 whole hour to pay respect to the all the fallen soldiers who fought for our Countries!
Remembrance Day is also referred to as Poppy Day or Armistice Day. In the UK a poppy is worn to display a sign of respect throughout the November month this is due to the poppy being the only flower to bloom on the battle grounds after the War and has since become the national symbol of remembrance.
Remembrance Day is observed in Commonwealth countries, including Australia and Canada. Other countries such as the U.S. have similar observances like Veterans Day. November 11th is the anniversary of the signing of the armistice, which ended World War I hostilities between Allied nations and Germany in 1918. Everyone stops what they are doing at 11:00 for 1-2 minutes silence as they honour the heroic efforts, achievements and sacrifices that were made in past wars.
The event will take place on 11/11/2015 at 11:00 GMT (UK Time).
All members who participate in the event will receive 1,000 rank points and 1,000 pay points.
Every member within United Nations is welcome to attend this special event so please come and join us! The event will be bought to you by the Department of Events.
Hope to see you all there.

As someone who is joining the military i find this day personal to me. It is important to always remember those who did and are currently fighting to defend our freedoms. Their sacrifices are never in vein :)
You should be proud of yourself, takes a brave person to join the military.
