As someone who writes about fantasy mainly, I have a lot of fun making my own adaptions to Supernatural creatures. My all time favorite is probably a witch, but its closely followed by werewolves.

I'm not sure, but right now I feel intrigued by the kofkeche (lit. 'people of bread'), from the Mapuche tradition. I've not learned yet enough, for I'm still on intermediate level of Mapuzungun! I love vampires, elves, gnomes, and dragons as well. ^_^
