[DOF] Who's your Hero?

IT'S THE LAST DAY OF NOVEMBER!

We're celebrating the National Heroes' Day here in the Philippines and as a commemoration of our brave and courageous heroes, it is treated as a holiday for all students and workers. What a splendid treat from our heroes!

So, how could you consider someone as your hero? Should he/she be strong and trained in fighting? Should he/she be dead already?

I believe that a true hero doesn't need to be strong and good at fighting, but someone who'd be willing to fight with you for the purpose of love, service, justice, and truth. He/She could not be dead, but he/she may be the people around you that through little things make up your day. They try to make us happy and serve the country well by doing their jobs right. We are surrounded by them, don't you think?

I could strongly say that are parents, especially our mothers, are the true heroes. They guided and nurtured us ever since we were born in this world, and yet, they did not complain on how hard it was to take care of us. They love us as who we are and accepted our flaws 'til the end.
