*This post will contain spoilers. If you have not seen Infinity War or Endgame, I recommend saving this thread for later. I have not seen the updated version of Endgame therefore I cannot spoil it and neither should you.
When Avenger's Infinity War was released, everyone was worried about the fate of their favorite superheroes. Out of 14,000,605 scenarios there was only 1 where the Avengers would win. Fans had theories on how the Avengers would defeat Thanos as they have gained 3 new members. Captain Marvel, Hawkeye, and Ant-man join them in Endgame, but half of their team turned to dust (miraculously the main Avengers didn't disintegrate) with 12 members alive and 12 possibly dead.
Endgame was not what I expected. I have not seen every Marvel movie (not even Age of Ultron, so I was a bit lost), but I have seen every movie from Spider-man: Homecoming to Endgame (excluding Thor: Ragnarok, so, again, I was a bit lost). I think one of the most shocking things was fat Thor. It was a bit funny, but I was waiting for him to lose the belly throughout most of the movie. Endgame has revealed that since the Marvel Universe now has a multiverse we now have Loki and Gamora once again, but they are different from when we saw them in Infinity war as they are from a different timeline. Loki will have his own show on Disney's streaming service and Gamora will be in Guardians of the Galaxy vol.3 in 2021. Sadly, we could not have a happy ending and we lost Iron-man and Black Widow as they sacrificed their lives for the wellbeing of others.
Most Marvel fans know that every Marvel Movie has 2 things, a Stan Lee cameo (rip) and at least 1 post credits scene. Endgame did not have a post credits scene, but a post credits sound which was the hammering of Iron-man building his first suit. Now Endgame has been updated with a new scene and an actual Post Credit Scene so we all get to waste another 3 hours! Happy watching!
I am not a fan of marvel but honestly, I enjoyed watch them all and yesss about thor HAHA! I'm speechless when i see him in End Game which i expect him to be masculine and such but turns out to be.. oh my gosh. The saddest part where they lost Black Widow and Iron-Man, really makes me </3 I cant even hold my tears in cinema.
It would be surprising if no one cried during the movie, especially with the scenes with Morgan after Iron-man died.
I watched endgame the night of release and a few more times after in the cinema, I think it was the perfect film it needed to be for its role in the series. I've watched every Marvel film in the series since the first Iron Man film and the MCU has had its shaky moment's film-wise (note most peoples opinions on Iron Man 2 and even Iron Man 3), but I think for the most part it's exceeded what people thought the film was going to be and gone beyond into what we didn't even know we needed.
Overall a great film IMO
MCU, I love you 3000
I definitely agree that Endgame went beyond people's expectations. I'll definitely try to watch the other films, but it will be difficult as they are not all on Netflix. And the future films will be a bit different as they will not have the wonderful Stan Lee cameo in them.
Have not watched this yet but Marvel does good things so looking forward to when I do
