In all honesty, rules implemented in the UN are based on trust as well; trust that workers would follow them. I understand the concern of there being a scene should there be a fight over seats that are empty, but quite honestly how many of these scenes has the UN seen already? I brought this subject up in hopes of decreasing the number of such scenes, and I agree that while this may be slow in success, it is worth a try. I am confident that UN workers aren't all that cold-hearted and selfish, and would have the sense of responsibilty to inform a newcomer of the empty seat. In my many short days of being with the UN, I have witnessed and dealt with such matters (and other matters which caused conflict over arrows) which would rule out the opinion that my suggestion would cause conflicts, because there already have been such fights over seats and arrows even with the effect of previous rules. In these cases, I have personally seen understanding workers and those who stand up to defend the seat as they understand that it was a disconnection. These 'angels' as I would call them have put quick ends to such conflicts and the matter was resolved quickly; this is all based on the trust each Agent has with another in the UN. I agree that ranks entitled to work anywhere other than the front desk should have the heart to give seats up to the lower ranks as it is the respectable thing to do, and hence is why I specifically pointed out the lower and higher ranks in my previous post. It is indeed the UN's top priority to keep peace in the base, but if you would just take a moment to think, how much peace can people possibly achieve? In my opinion, it is definitely not 100%. I definitely agree that workers in this base should attempt to maintain that 95% of peace that we have, and do note that conflicts can only be avoided for so long before they arise again. This was just a friendly suggestion to a new rule that in my opinion would help lower these rates of conflict. It may not be an instant success, but I would really like to see it try.
I thank you sinerely for your honest thoughts about my suggestion, however I still do believe that this suggestion should at least be given a chance to be thought about.
Honestly having the 1 minute rule would be nice if everyone was fair. Unfortnatly, we don't always know if the person actually disconnected or not. We have had people lie about DC before and honestly the 1 minute rule would be chaos. Not everyone is truthful and it sucks because there really are people that have been there for x amount of minutes and are working really hard and you know the saying Sh*t happen. I would totally be for it if people were truthful but since thats not true i would say im against it. Theres also now real way of knowing if the person DC eness someone else sees but there isnt always someone there to see.
Well I think what elizabeth is trying to do is solving the problem for agents who have been working for the arrow but losing their seats due to DC issues. And most of the time there will be people in base either beside the agent or nearby (FTF). And with this trust issue, i feel it only happens to people who are arrow hunters as they come and steal seats just for that arrow.
Totally support the idea as it is striving to make UN a better place and environment to work in.
I feel that one minute is a bit short. If you rose it to 2 minutes or something, it would be perfect. If someones PC crashed or blue screens for example, it takes some people longer than others to load back up. Internet shouldn't be used as an excuse for disconnecting.
I just skimmed this long thread, so bare with me if the problem has already been mentioned orrr people have already dealt with this issue (idk)
I love this idea, but the only thing I see wrong with it is, who's timing? Not everyone notices everyone filling a seat, especially at our busy times. No one can get a stopwatch every since time someone disconnect ffrom habbo, for whatever reason so i don't think it would be fairl enforced on every single person.
There is another problem Ive thought about concerning D/cs which this rule can not stop: What if they D/c in the AFK thrones??
Fortunately no arrow hunter can grab the seat, however, if you go in the thrones and check on your progress between the start and end of the wait, and come back to find you disconnected, the only thing that user will be rewarded with is a reason to be pissed off. Especially if you're like me and choose between afk and doing something non-habbo related and working for UN.
HAHA Yeah i agree Coooooopah, like we need people who create scene's, god forbid we have someone in UN like that.

If you could, or have any other ideas at all, could you maybe suggest some improvements that could be made on my idea?
