[DOF] Advice and Second Opinions: it's okay not to be okay

It’s okay not to be okay.

So here’s the thing, society expects us to always be happy and just because you’re showing sadness it’s wrong. But it’s not. We’re humans, we experience different situations and our mood and feelings are affected. We’re not always going to be happy after each situation we come by. It’s just having to break into that norm that instead of always being happy embrace the sadness too. Embrace the darker side because it won’t always just be sun shines and butterflies; there would be rain, even storms. But after that rain would be a rainbow which is also just as beautiful. Through bad experiences, we learn something and we move on with that new knowledge.

We will always have good and bad days, that is part of being human. Nothing will be perfect and just as we plan it to be. But don’t keep it all to yourself, share. If you’re having a bad day, then rant it out. Empty all them burdened feelings and let people know of how you feel because it’s okay.

You are not alone.

There are people who are willing to listen so let it out. Don’t just leave it all cooped up because it can become too suffocating if it gets to too much and it’s not even healthy. Speak and don’t hesitate to let it show, let people help you. It’s okay not to be okay too, just keep that in mind.

And if you're not okay, we're here for you. We're always open to talk to you and come on, we're family! BUT, no worries, if you don't want to share it, we can ALWAYS wait for you. Don't just bottle it up, okay?

Remember that we got our own ups and downs too and you're not the only person who feels that way!
