[DOF] Advice and Second Opinions: Mental Health Awareness

So hey guys, this thread will focus on an event that is currently running this week. This week, although it is towards the end of the week now, is mental health awareness week. I am not sure if this is international and is recognised all over the world however I know in the UK it is known and promoted.

Mental health has been a very big issue all over the world and for many; it is usually associated to being very, very bad and negative. I am sure that many does not want to be associated into it as it is usually thought to being the worse of the mental health issues but it can also be the most common thing. Stress is a mental health that I am sure each and every one has encountered and experienced upon, but many may not really have given it as much thought to being a mental health.

I would like to just say that mental health is important. Raising awareness is important. There are many people who suffers of mental health such as depression and anxiety, and hides these instead to suffer alone. But you don’t have to. Voice out your problems and seek for help because it won’t just solve it self and it can overtime become worse. But it will get better. Can get better.

I was a little influenced to dedicate a thread from finding out that the Netflix series, Thirteen Reasons Why is back with the second season. I know thirteen reasons why is slightly too exaggerated but that could be the situation for some. Some suffers with so much more, I know I have spent a morning with a psychologist and the sort of experience some people has gone through makes you just think how? How did they manage to be so strong to continue on? For those who thinks that they have it rough, just remember how some have it so much worse. Don’t just suffer quietly but seek. I am sure there would be people more than happy to listen to you and help.

What are your thoughts and opinion about mental health? Do you usually perceive it as something negative? Have you suffered with one before? Comment down your thoughts and opinions below.
