My Lover, My Love
So I've just finished watching this Chinese Drama despite the urge to smash my laptop at my sisters. It wasn't like they don't appreciate the drama; we are all actually into it. However, we don't like the same guy for the female lead. This had always caused commotion which was actually because of me almost fighting them for hating the guy I ship with the girl. (Childish me, lol!)
The thing is, the girl chases and does everything she can for this boy, Jiang Chen, but he remains oblivious of it. He doesn't even show that he acknowledges what she does for him. On the other hand, the guy I am shipping her with, Wu Bosong is very, very dreamy, or maybe he's just my type, rotfl.
Wu Bosong may not be as handsome as Jiang Chen, but he is so sincere. He's always there for the girl, Xiaoxi, doing whatever it takes to give her what she wants even if it includes helping her to win the heart of the guy she loves. Wu Bosong wishes her to be fine and all though it means sacrificing his own happiness for her.
But till the very last episode, Xiaoxi chose the guy she loves over her lover. All her hard work paid off with Jiang Chen finally falling in love with her.
I must admit that after hearing Jiang Chen's side story, I've realized that he didn't really neglect Xiaoxi or even intended to make her feel less. He just didn't know how to express himself better. I can't forget him uttering his drunk words, "Everyone thinks that Chen Xiaoxi loves me more... I kept on thinking she would come after me even if I left because she used to be like that, but that time she didn't, I suddenly don't know what to do."
Unfortunately and fortunately for Wu Bosong, he stays in Xiaoxi's life as her good friend. I still feel bad for Wu Bosong because until the very end, he was even the one who made a way for Xiaoxi to give Jiang Chen a chance.
His love is just so genuine, so deserving of a love in return.
