I feel as though I’m falling,
but I can’t turn back to look.
My breath is taken and the clouds above,
with this sinking feeling that can’t be shook.
Body frozen with my head stuck forward,
posture shaped as a hook.
While I fall I try to hold on,
It’s a sensation that can’t be mistook.
With darkness invisible and the blue solid above,
I speak no words and sigh once more.
My eyes dash around, accepting the fate,
and trying not to miss what I felt before.
As I close my eyes and feel the clouds distance,
I’m shaken to attention and spoken for.
Peeking open at the sight to behold,
I welcome the warmth as it began to restore.
The warmth of the sun,
