So for work I won't be able to get on for about a month from the middle of October to the middle of November. Do I need to message anyone or post something some where so people know whats going on? Or just stick with letting an owner know when I get back?

I'd suggest talking to the Owner about it. So, they could deactivate your account while you're away. Activating it when you come back. So, yeah.
